For years, I looked for acceptance in all the wrong places. What I didn't realize was that God would use the people in recovery to teach me something I couldn't learn on my own: how to accept myself.
They saw value in me before I could see it in myself. Through their honesty, compassion, and willingness to walk beside me, I began to understand God's love in a deeper way.
Sometimes, healing starts when someone believes in us until we're able to believe in ourselves.
