What I wish I knew earlier in life is that I didn’t have to be religious to have a personal relationship with God.
I thought I had to get my life together before I could come to Him.
But I didn’t meet God in church. I met Him in the streets, when I was hurting, lost, and running out of ways to save myself.
Church has a place in my life. But God reached me before I ever walked through those doors.
If you think you’re too far gone or you have to become somebody else before you can turn to Him, I’m telling you what happened to me: He met me right where I was.
